Frustrated where your business is?
Tired of trying to attract that ideal paying client?
Scared you might have to get a J-O-B
if something doesn’t change?
You’re in the right place.
Having your own business shouldn’t be difficult. Yes, it’s work but it doesn’t have to be so hard. Too many people are following the guidance of other people, who took the advise of someone else, who took the advise of someone else…(ya see where I’m going with this?) They all built their business the hard way, thinking it was the only way.
I’m here to tell you, it doesn’t have to be that hard and it should be fun and effortless.
I’ve been a professional speaker and coach for years, working with a variety of people, from the solo-preneur to the big Fortune 500 companies.
Here are a few things every business owner needs to know and have an answer for.
1. Who’s your ideal client?
When you try marketing and selling to everybody, you market and sell to NOBODY!
I bet this goes against what your gut is saying…..But Laurie-Ann, my product or service helps so many people.
Been there and done that mistake more times than I care to admit. When your market is so WIDE, no one feels, she talk’n to me because there is nothing unique about you, your product or service. You want to stand out and be memorable!
2. What’s your uniqueness?
This is about your brand. What makes you unique? Think about the brands you’re faithful to or admire. There’s a feeling you get when you use that product or service. There’s a feeling you get when you buy from them, such as confidence, luxurious, beautiful, inspired, motivated or fun to name a few.
For example, look at the car industry. All of those different brands have a different feel to them, from their advertising, to their show rooms, to the driver’s seat. They use their uniqueness across the board to speak directly to their ideal customer. The result is, their ideal customer feel heard and understood.
One of the things that separates me from other business growing coaches is I only work with a small number of clients at one time. This allows me to have more availability for my clients. All my clients know, when you work with Laurie-Ann, she’s not there for you only during your coaching sessions, you can reach out to her 24/7. (If I’m sleeping or on stage, I’ll get bask to you ASAP!)
What experience do you want your ideal client to have when they work or buy from you? Tap into the experience you want your customers or clients to have.
3. Where’s your audience?
Next step to building your business is to become the expert.
Wouldn’t you love to speak to a room full of your ideal clients and leave with a handful of business cards requesting a follow-up or to be on your email list? Or would you like to speak to one person at a time, at an event and leave with a couple of business cards that most likely are not your ideal client.
The person in the front of the room is the expert.
Here’s a secret: I’m naturally shy. Actually I’m an introvert and feel awkward at networking events. But I learned to become that speaker, sharing my expertise and knowledge with groups of people. When I finished speaking, people would approach me, continue the conversation and ask more questions. I learned, those people who were seeking me out, were my ideal clients, who I wanted to work with. I can teach you to become that confident speaker and deliver a speech crafted to attract your ideal client.
