Frustrated with the growth of your business? Confused how to take your business to the next level or off the ground? Feeling less than confident about which marketing tips for entrepreneurs to follow? You’re not alone.
The #1 marketing tip is to be the one everyone is listening to: the speaker. I am an introvert at heart, which surprises most people because I’m a speaker. I found it easier to talk and share to everyone (the audience) than have, what I considered, uncomfortable one-on-one conversations.
Here are three tips to get you started along with a free gift at the end.
1. Start Small
To build up your speaking muscle, start with small local organizations. Ask your friends or clients to recommend meetings they attend who need speakers. Another marketing tip for entrepreneurs is to start your own group, which can be done with Meetup.com or your local library. Invite your friends, clients and customers, the ones who already support you.Speaking is the BEST platform to market your business! Click To Tweet
2. Be You
Trust me, they will love you! When it’s you that shows up to give the speech and not a fake imitation version of you, your authenticity will shine. Don’t worry about being overly polished, because audiences are looking for a fun real person in the front of the room to learn from.
3. Practice Practice Practice
I believe practicing is the antidote for nerves. When you know what you will say and how you will say it, you’ll deliver your speech or message with confidence. Many people think memorizing their speech will sound canned, but it’s just the opposite.
As an introvert, who speaks in front of large and small audiences, it is the BEST marketing tip for entrepreneurs, no matter what you sell or do.
